Moroccan Nimcha sword – 18th Century.
A very early example of an 18th Century Moroccan or North African Late-18th Century Nimcha cavalry broadsword. Of large proportions and comprising a carved wooden grip and steel mounts. The blade is likely to be European in origin (it was common to use imported or captured earlier European blades) and from the 17th or early 18th Century. No scabbard. Blade length is 36.5 inches (42.25 inches overall).
