19th Century Sri-Lankan Silver-Mounted Pia Ketta Knife

A large 19th Century Sri-Lankan Pia Ketta knife – with extensive solid silver decoration to the hardwood hilt and blade forte.  Complete with original wooden scabbard that is pivoted at the base allowing the knife to be accessed – unusual arrangement but appears to be contemporary with the knife.  Blade length is 9 inches (12.5 inches overall).
