19th Century Durham Rifle Volunteers Officer’s Sword.
An original late-19th Century British 1827 Pattern Rifle Officer’s Sword to an officer in the Durham Rifle Volunteers. With steel Gothic hilt and strung bugle in cartouche. Fishskin and silver wire to the grip. With crisp etching to the blade, featuring regimental name and VR cypher, crown and scrolling foliage. Complete with scabbard – chape absent. Blade length is 33 inches (39 inches overall).
