C.1500 English Bronze Dagger
English dagger – c.1500.
Rare late-Medieval English bronze dagger – probably excavated as the tip of the blade is missing – original seller located it as being found in the East of England near Norwich. With distinctive wrythen-shaped grip and double pommel. The crossguard has drooped quillons and the blade is double-edged – is a little bent from being underground probably later distorted by farm machinery. Still is a rare English survivor from over five hundred years ago. Blade length is 4.75 inches (9 inches overall).
