C.1800’s European Military Sapper’s or Pioneer’s Axe

A rare example of a c.1800’s European Napoleonic Sapper’s or Pioneer’s axe.  Of large proportions with a substantial iron head and thick wooden haft – all original.  Height of the axe (including head) is 26 inches.  In excellent condition.
