French/European Napoleonic Infantry Officer’s Sword
Napoleonic Infantry Officer’s Sword.
An original and unusual Napoleonic Infantry Officer’s Sword – probably French or European in origin. Certainly doesn’t follow a typical British pattern or style of the period. The brass and leather scabbard with a long chape is particularly French in style. With leather wrap to the grip. Plain, slightly curved blade. Sword with overall wear – looks like this sword was carried on many campaigns and no doubt has plenty of history. Blade length is 26.75 inches (32.5 inches overall).
