French Model 1866 Chassepot Plated Parade Sword Bayonet

An unusual French Model 1866 Chassepot bayonet that has been converted to parade use with a plated hilt, blade and scabbard.  Of typical form and dated to 1871 on the blade spine.  In clean condition overall).  Blade length is 23 inches (28 inches overall).
