A very rare and seldom seen British Napoleonic wooden cosh of a type carried by Petty Officer's in the Royal Navy. The cosh is made from a hardwood - probably mahogany or teak. Finely turned ball and shaft with leather and cord bound neck that enabled the cosh to be wielded with flexibility. Length of the cosh is 17 inches. Lovely historical piece.
