19th Century Sudanese warrior’s dagger.
Excellent example of a c.1880’s Sudanese Hadendoa warrior’s dagger – used around the time of the time of the Siege of Khartoum (1885). With distinctive and unusual X-shaped, carved hardwood grip and curved, double-edged blade. Complete with rarely found tooled leather scabbard. Blade length is 8.25 inches (12 inches overall).
