Highly unusual and unique late-18th/early 19th Century English military soldier’s knife and scabbard.
A totally unique late-18th/early 19th Century English Soldier's military knife & tooled leather and brass scabbard. No doubt made in the field and comprising a lightwood barrel-shaped grip attached to a modified and shortened Napoleonic British Army socket bayonet. The scabbard is made from tooled and patterned leather with a hammered brass locket. Blade length is 6 inches (10.5 inches overall).
