19th Century English Masonic sword.
A very rare late-19th Century English Masonic sword complete with scarce travelling case which allowed the owner to detach the hilt and store the sword blade and scabbard in a separate case. Sword with typical brass cruciform hilt and heavy cast brass, ribbed grip. Blade extensively etched with numerous masonic symbols and scrolling foliage. Complete with black leather scabbard with decorated locket and chape and leather travelling case with brass and white metal cap. Blade length is 30 inches (35.5 inches overall).
