Unique WW1 Scottish Soldier’s Trench Fighting Knife
WW1 Scottish fighting knife.
A very interesting and unique WW1 Scottish soldier’s fighting knife. Probably made in the field by a skilful maker. Features a carved composite (vulcanite?) grip with a blade probably taken from a bayonet. The leather scabbard is quite special having a depiction of a bearded Scottish Highlander worked into the top of the scabbard. Workmanship of this is particularly good. All in fine condition. Blade length is 8 inches (12 inches overall).
