Antique/Vintage African Kenyan Calabash Gourd

Excellent Antique/Vintage African Kenyan Calabash Gourd – with a finely carved decoration of elephants, rhinos and geometric patterns.  With a great age patina – would make a fine display piece on both a table or shelf within your home.  A calabash is a dried, hollowed-out fruit of the gourd family (“Lagenaria siceraria”) used for various purposes, including serving food, storing items, and even as musical instruments.  Height is 11 inches (28cms).
