British Late-Georgian Artillery(?) Officer’s Sword
£295.00
Late-Georgian British officer’s sword.
An interesting late-Georgian British officer’s sword – of a type that I have encountered before that were etched to officers in an artillery regiment and also the Honourable Artillery Company. This sword has a distinctive brass hilt wrapped in brass wire. The blade is etched with the royal cypher of King George IV, dated to 1821 and named to “CROWNE”. No scabbard. Blade length is 30 inches (36 inches overall).
