C.1800’s French Army/Navy Military Axe

Interesting early 19th Century French military axe – purchased direct from France. With small axe-head and unusually shaped wooden shaft, curled towards the end. In good condition. Dimensions of the axe-head are 5 inches x 4 inches – the shaft measures 28 inches.
