Large Antique C.1800’s Ship’s Captain/Office Pewter Inkwell

C.1800’s English pewter inkwell of large proportions – probably for a ship’s captain or office.  Named to “P R Smith”.  Also engraved “Leeds” and date of “185(?)9”.  Original ink pot still remains.  Dimensions are 9 inches (diameter of base).  The inkwell diameter is 4.75 inches and 3.25 inches high.
