Original Model 1817 Imperial Russian Infantry Hanger Sword

A scarce and original Imperial Russian Model 1817 Infantry hanger sword.  Copied from the earlier French Napoleonic infantry “Briquet” sword.  With cast brass, ribbed hilt and slightly curved, single-edged blade.  With numerous markings to the blade and hilt.  No scabbard.  Blade length is 26.5 inches (31.5 inches overall).
