A fine example of a 19th Century Austrian Bohemian Decorated Glass Vase. Probably produced in either Austria, Bohemia (Czechoslovakia) or even Germany. The style is typical of the mid-late 19th Century and comprises a deep green glass body that has been profusely decorated with gilt floral patterns. The end of the vase is ruffled and splayed.
Condition of the vase is excellent
At the base of the vase the glass has been deeply cut into a series of channels and produces a very attractive effect. Condition of the vase is excellent with no damage that I can see. Am surprised that after all these years the condition of the gilt is so fine - no serious rubbing or wear. With the correct light on the vase it would make a stunning display piece.
