19th Century Indian Pesh Kabz Dagger #1 – British Museum?

pesh-kabz-dagger-3

Absolutely terrific and original 19th Century North Indian Pesh Kabz Dagger. With bone hilt and decorated brass hilt. The blade is finely tempered and retaining all the original blueing to the blade. Still wickedly sharp and in very fine condition. Complete with its original red morocco leather scabbard. The dagger also retains a lead museum collection tag with royal crown (Queen Victoria) and museum hall number. The use of a royal crown to the tag indicates that this dagger came from either a royal collection or national collection so was obviously regarded as worthy of national display. I was lucky enough to acquire two of these daggers and am selling the other identical one this week. Blade length is 8.5 inches (12 inches overall).
