This is a fine Antique C.1900 Persian Islamic Isfahan Solid Silver Vase of baluster form. The vase is deeply cut with myriad representations of exotic birds, foliage and abstract patterns. This style of silversmithing was very popular in Persian at this time and many pieces were exported throughout Europe and there is still a flourishing silver industry there today. The vase is hallmarked with Persian silver marks to the neck. In good condition with small dent to one side – could be pushed out I would guess – have not touched it and does not detract too much as it is within the heavily cut silver decoration. Height of the vase is 8 inches and the width is 4 inches. Very attractive and scarce piece.
