Rare Austrian Model 1845 Cavalry Trooper’s Sword
This is an early example and according to With Drawn Sword by Ortner and Artlieb (see pics below), “…this sabre is one of few existing examples of the standard model, with identical stamps on the sabre and blade…” Of large and heavy duty construction, the original black paint remains to both the hilt and scabbard. Dated to 1849 on blade forte and scabbard and also maker named to Jurmann. Leather wrapped grip.
Condition of the Sword
In good overall condition for its age and with some commensurate staining to the blade.

Blade length is 36 inches (43 inches overall).
