Bavarian late-19th Century Army Officer Dress Sword

Unusual and rare Bavarian late-19th Century Army Officer’s dress courtsword

With a brass hilt inset with a royal crown and victory wreath.  The grip is wrapped with fishskin and bound with brass twistwire.  The blade is etched with a panel bearing the motto – In Treue Fest – In Loyalty Steadfast.  Also includes a panel with maker’s name of  M Zoltsch Munchen.  Sword is complete with its original brass and leather mounted scabbard.

Condition of the Sword

In good overall condition with a clean blade.

Blade length is 32 inches (38 inches overall).
