A good example of a British C.1800's Naval Midshipman's Dirk Dagger. With ribbed bone grip and cut steel hilt. The globular pommel has been blued and retains most of the original finish. The blade is double-edged and with a prominent raised forte.
Privately purchased dirks
These small dirks would have been privately purchased and usually carried at the belt. Condition of the dirk is good - there is some damage to the top of the grip near the pommel on one side. The dirk came with a scabbard locket and throat so will add these aswell - could probably be restored. Blade length is 5.25 inches (9 inches overall).
