Superb and rare English c.1760’s Colichemarde-bladed Smallsword complete with scabbard
This sword is marked on the scabbard locket to Bland of London and must be one of their earliest swords as they are noted as being in business from around 1768. Hilt is of blued steel with original steel twistwire to the grip. The wide, colichemarde blade is engraved with a series of complex and intertwined patterns.
Condition of the Sword
Condition of the sword is very good for its age with no repairs to the hilt or blade. Complete with scabbard – leather has probably been replaced during its lifetime.

Blade length is 27.5 inches (34 inches overall).
