A fine example of a French 19th Century Model 1855 Infantry Officer’s Sword
This is a well made and quality sword that would have been carried by French infantry officers during the late-19th Century. This sword is dated 1874 and comprises a ribbed horn grip with a detailed and pierced gilt brass hilt. The blade is plain and features a number of maker/inspector’s marks – is also maker marked and dated to the spine of the blade. Complete with original scabbard.

In very good condition with a very clean blade.
