French Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet – dated 1872
A French 19th Century military issue Model 1866 Chassepot Sword Bayonet dated to 1872 and made in the Tulle sword and bayonet manufactory. With typical ribbed brass grip and steel hilt mounts. Complete with correct steel scabbard which has matching numbers to the hilt.
Condition of the Bayonet
In good overall condition – good clean bayonet.
Specifications of the Bayonet
Blade length is 23 inches (27 inches overall).
