A nice and complete c.1800’s French Napoleonic Naval Officer’s Dirk or Dagger. With a fine chequered ebony grip and brass mounted hilt. The pommel has a distinctive ball shape and the crossguard finials are short and stubby. The blade is plain with a central medial ridge and is also double-edged. The dirk comes complete with its original brass scabbard and belt attachment. Condition of the dirk is excellent and the blade has no pitting or damage and is extremely clean. Both hilt and blade are rock solid and with no movement. A great addition for the collector of Napoleonic dirks and daggers. Blade length is 6 inches (10.5 inches overall).
