A typical Japanese Model 1886 Cavalry Trooper’s Sword
This Japanese Model 1886 Cavalry Trooper’s Sword comprises a chequered steel hilt and inset chequered wooden grip. The hilt has a number of inspection and issue stamps to the underside of the hilt. Good quality blued steel blade. With matching numbers to blade forte and scabbard drag. Complete with original leather sword knot.
Condition of the Sword
In good condition with some service wear to the hilt.

Blade length is 31 inches (36 inches overall).
