Original C.1800's French/European Infantry Briquet Sword

A typical example of a C.1800's French/European Infantry Briquet Sword.  With heavy ribbed brass hilt and plain, slightly curved blade.  No scabbard.  This style of sword was carried by the French infantry throughout the Napoleonic Wars and also adopted by many European nations during the 19th Century.

In worn condition overall.
