A scarce example of a Spanish 19th Century Escuadras de Cataluna Sword. With well detailed brass lionshead pommel and militia badge to centre. Plain, straight blade with single fuller. Distinctive acorn-shaped quillons.

In good overall condition – light wear to the blade – tip rounded.
