An Original French C.1800’s Napoleonic Shako Helmet Plate
An excellent French C.1800’s Napoleonic Shako Helmet Plate. Made from thin brass and with slight traces of the original gilding. Comprising an imperial crowned eagle with Napoleonic lightning bolts. Would have been worn on a large bearskin or helmet. A scarce and unusual piece and especially so in this condition.
