An original Ottoman Turkish C.1900's Infantry Officer's Sword. This sword would have been carried by an infantry officer in the Turkish Ottoman Army and was of a type used from late-19th through to the end of the First World War. It comprises a brass stirrup hilt and horn grip bound with brass twistwire. The hilt langet is engraved with a crescent moon and star.
Sword blade of quill point form
The blade is of quill point form and is maker marked underneath the langet to the German sword maker - F.Horster. In very good condition - blade with nice age toning. Blade length is 30 inches (35 inches overall).
