C.1770’s English Infantry Officer’s Sword

A scarce and original c.1770’s English infantry officer’s sword.  With typical brass, slotted hilt and of a type that was carried during the American Revolutionary War.  With ribbed horn grip and ovoid pommel and pronounced tang button.  The blade is plain, curved and double-edged towards the point.  No scabbard.  Blade length is 29 inches (34 inches overall).
