Massive Late-19th Century British Army Leadcutter Sword

Rare late-19th Century British Army Leadcutter Sword.  Used to train soldiers in the most efficient  use of his sword with regard to  cutting techniques and the strengthening of the sword arm.   These swords were struck against a triangular lead bar of varying sizes.  Is based on the 1858 Pattern Naval Cutlass with a large steel bowl hilt and ribbed grip.  The blade is heavy and thick – the sword weighs 1.8kgs (3.95lbs).  No scabbard which is quite common.  A scarce British Army sword of the 19th Century.   Blade length is 29.5 inches (36 inches overall).
