Turkish/Balkan 19th Century Yataghan Sword and Scabbard
A Turkish or Balkan 19th Century Yataghan Sword with horn, eared grip with brass mounts and fastened with iron nails. With embossed brass decoration to the blade ferrule. The long, curved blade is singled-edged. This type of sword was popular from the 18th Century right through until the 20th Century and carried by both soldier and citizen. Complete with leather on wood scabbard.
Condition of the Yataghan
In good overall condition with some wear to the grip and blade commensurate with its age. The scabbard is in excellent condition.

Blade length is 24 inches (29 inches overall).
