An original Antique 19th Century Silver-hilted Moroccan Jambiya Dagger. With extensive and fine decoration to both the hilt and scabbard – is very intricate and comprises a series of inter-twined patterns. The blade is typically plain and double-edged towards the point and is engraved with the letters, “GS”. The hilt is made from dark hardwood. Condition of the Jambiya is good with some age wear in places – actually adds to the character of the piece.
Many of thesee Moroccan Jambiyas are of poor quality and made for the tourist market – this is not one of those and was made to be used and carried. Blade length is 8.25 inches (14 inches overall).
