Rare English c.1800’s Petty Officer’s Cosh

Used to keep order amongst the seaman whilst on deck. This is an exceptional example, made from the flexible baleen of a whale. The cosh is finely bound with cord, lead-weighted to either end and with decoratively etched brass roundels.

Condition of the Cosh

In terrific condition and with absolutely no damage.

Specifications of the Cosh

Length of cosh is 12 inches.
