This is good example of a US C.WW2 Military Hand-Forged Bolo Machete. With composite riveted grip and typical flared or swollen machete blade that is deeply etched with the words: ” Hand Bolo Forged”. The composite grip is held together with five steel rivets. Both blade and grip are solid, with no movement or problems.
Machete in good condition
No doubt these machetes would have been issued to a wide spectrum of military and civilian personnel and carried throughout the 2nd World War. In very good condition overall. Blade length is 14.25 inches (19.25 inches overall). Blade has been sharpened for military service use.
